The Westport Country Playhouse is partnering with the Foundation to present a film series highlighting the careers of some distinguished friends within the film industry. Under the artistic direction of Joanne Woodward, the Westport Country Playhouse is a historic theatre dedicated to producing and presenting year-round programs including its summer season, educational projects, and additional programming. Since 1931 the Westport Country Playhouse has brought to this community many of the greatest talents in the history of American drama. In partnership with our friends at the Fairfield University Media Center, the Foundation has established a film school to introduce young people in our community to the world of filmmaking. The film school is a summer program that enables children to discover all aspects of filmmaking, learn to work as a production team, and ultimately see their finished work up on the big screen.
