Enhancing Your Community

Partners of the Community Theatre Foundation are companies, organizations and individual friends that have worked with us to fulfill our mission, to support our outreach efforts, to enhance your film experience at the theater, and to create cultural events for our neighbors. Our partners are actively engaged in developing ideas to make our community better, today and in the future.

Newman's Own and its founder, Paul Newman, generously donate food and beverages to the Community Theatre Foundation. These significant contributions substantially reduce the Foundation's concession costs so that we may continue to fulfill our mission of providing affordable entertainment while supporting other local nonprofit organizations that enhance our community and serve our neighbors. The Westport Country Playhouse is partnering with the Foundation to present a film series highlighting the careers of some distinguished friends within the film industry. Under the artistic direction of Joanne Woodward, the Westport Country Playhouse is a historic theatre dedicated to producing and presenting year-round programs including its summer season, educational projects, and additional programming. Since 1931 the Westport Country Playhouse has brought to this community many of the greatest talents in the history of American drama. Film Movement is an organization dedicated to making the world's greatest underappreciated films accessible to the public. Through this partnership, the Community Theatre Foundation will showcase two film series each year that highlight The Best of Film Movement. This series demonstrates the Foundation's commitment to bringing you the very best that the independent film world has to offer. In partnership with our friends at the Fairfield University Media Center, the Foundation has established a film school to introduce young people in our community to the world of filmmaking. The film school is a summer program that enables children to discover all aspects of filmmaking, learn to work as a production team, and ultimately see their finished work up on the big screen.
